South Bay Sponge and Resiliency in East Palo Alto

  • East Palo Alto YMCA 550 Bell St East Palo Alto, CA (map)

Join us for a presentation and public discussion of South Bay Sponge, a project for achieving resilience to climate change and sea level rise in East Palo Alto and neighboring communities. The Field Operations Team will share the results of their community outreach and design submitted for the Resilient By Design Challenge. The South Bay Sponge project proposes green infrastructure to absorb, filter, and disperse flood waters during storm events. This project emerged from close collaboration with communities in the South Bay, and was designed to strengthen the social fabric and collective well-being in our cities and towns. To RSVP, please email Violet at violet.saena@acterra.org. Dinner will be provided.
