  • Microsoft Silicon Valley, Building 1 1065 La Avenida Street Mountain View, CA, 94043 United States (map)

Peter Drekmeier co-founded Bay Area Action (BAA) in 1990 and ten years later helped establish Acterra through the merger of BAA with the Peninsula Conservation Center. He has led efforts to protect old growth forests and restore native wildlife habitats, assisted statewide environmental campaigns, promoted water conservation and improved river conditions on the Tuolumne, and while serving as a council member and mayor, helped establish Palo Alto’s reputation as one of the nation’s most sustainable cities.  He is currently the Policy Director at the Tuolumne River Trust, and was Acterra's honoree for Party for the Planet in 2016. The Bay-Delta Water Quality Control Plan establishes water quality control measures needed to provide reasonable protection of beneficial uses of water in the Bay-Delta Watershed.
