One of Acterra’s main goals is to educate people about ways to live more sustainably. We do this through workshops, hikes, volunteer workdays, classroom visits and more. You can find links to presentations and other information here, and we will continue to update this resource page as more materials are developed.

San Francisco Bay Area Native Plants for the Garden

Acterra has created a catalog of some of our more “garden worthy” locally native plants. We have provided pictures and descriptions for each plant as well as some sample layouts. We also list plants for certain situations, such as under oaks or those good for lawn substitutes. Please look for this book at plant sales or other Acterra sponsored activities.
