Acterra has teamed up with UC Santa Cruz Extension/Silicon Valley to offer an 11-week certificate program in Executive Leadership.
Focused on the needs of business executives, this course focuses on developing the skills and knowledge required to lead enterprises in the 21st Century. A successful business leader must navigate the challenges of resource constraints (limited energy, water and material resources) — and learn to create new value from previously “wasted” resources.
Moreover, traditional management methods of motivating employees and calculating costs along a supply chain are not enough to create economic value in today’s changing world. Complex interactions among economic issues, human and social needs, and environmental concerns highlight the need to understand sustainability and how it affects your business.
Topics include:
- Leadership for Innovation in the 21st Century
- Leadership Intelligence
- Ecology and Systems Thinking
- Leadership, Technology & Sustainablity Businesses
- Leading in an Era of Limited Resources: Materials, Energy, Water
- Cultivating Leadership
- Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility
- Organizational Leadership and Development
- Creating for a Resilient Enterprise
