PHOTO 8: The actual battery box is made out of polypropeline, which is acid proof and non-conductive; two nice features to have in a battery box when using flooded cell batteries. This photo shows the polypropeline box before it was welded together. Polypropeline must be heated and bent or welded during fabrication as it does not glue very well.
