PHOTO 4: The gas tank that was mounted under the trunk was removed and the trunk floor was cut out to fit in a battery box frame. This placement of the battery box put the battery weight low in the car, which makes for better handling and allows for some trunk space above the battery box. The bottom of the battery box is at the same height as the old gas tank, so the clearance of the MG is the same as it used to be.
