Middlebrook Gardens is “changing the way California gardens, one garden at a time” by offering ecology-based landscaping using California native plants and sustainable
practices to create gardens which save water, lower costs, and bring the beauty of California into homes and businesses with the homeowners.
The environmental benefits of their gardens are clear — not only do they eliminate the need for pesticides, insecticides, and extensive irrigation, but they attract wildlife and help reconnect
people to the natural world, teaching them about basic ecology and natural relationships. After creating a garden, the company establishes a garden management and stewardship program with the owners.
Middlebrook Gardens has designed and built over 60 native gardens throughout the region and has been a principal voice in promoting use of natives through lectures, workshops, tours, and the recent creation
of the nonprofit California Native Garden Foundation.
