Four Points by Sheraton San Francisco Bay Bridge is greening their hotel through such efforts as offering an optional linen reuse program, retrofitting lighting and shower heads to be efficient, offering recycling containers for employees and hotel guests, eliminating highly toxic cleaning formulations, replacing carpets in high traffic areas to more durable flooring, and reducing newspaper deliveries to guest’s rooms.

All of this must be done within the requirements the hotel must meet in order to carry its brand name and, in the process, the hotel has been able to educate the chain about implementing environmental improvements in its other hotels. Four Points was also Emeryville’s first certified Green Business.
